This is one of the greatest restaurants I have ever been to. About a year ago my family and I were passing through after a haunted house and decided we would pull into this random little place and it ended up being such a hidden gem. I have now come back 4+ times even though I live 50 minutes away. Anytime I am in Fort Worth I make an excuse to come here. I love it here so much and I have only ever tried 3 things here. The sleezy chicken, the dragon fries and the sweet potato fries are the only things I have tried but they’re all so amazing. The service is also always great and the staff are very sweet and helpful. 10/10, I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.
The customer service here was great with very friendly and attentive staff. This is the best chicken and waffles I've had. Nothing is soggy, the chicken is crispy, juicy and flavorful! The fact that you can customize your spice level and it actually gets decently spicy (not just white people spicy) is fantastic. The portion size is very generous and worth your money. If you crave chicken and waffles this is THE place to go.
The Cookshack was amazing. I drove 45 minutes and was worth it. Welcoming atmosphere, food, and drinks were amazing. Loved my food, the chicken & and waffles (medium) with my side Dragon Fries. My son had the shack bites, but his favorite was the Mac & Cheese. My mom had the Shack Salad and loved it. Brother had the chicken sandwich (Texas Hot). Please, if you decide to try it, don't forget to try the Ice Cream Sandwich. 🥰
10/10 recommend. I hate to admit how many times I have eaten here. One of my favorite chicken places in Fort Worth. The staff is kind and welcoming. They also have staff from the kitchen come check in on guests. The chicken Tacos, Waffles, and Salad are all amazing.
The awesome customer service started as we walked in. With an easy to follow menu I wanted to try more than I could eat! I ordered the tenders, medium heat, the side I chose was the kale salad. The tenders were perfectly seasoned, just the right crunch, texture, and so juicy. Kale salad had a light vinergarette with peanuts throughout, of which I enjoyed. We had the pleasure of talking to Brandon K who came over to make sure we were satisfied. We let him know we were, and it was our first time there. He then brought us an extra special treat to celebrate that. A house made Oatmeal butterscotch ice-cream sandwich! It was the best. The cookie was soft and perfectly constructed around vanilla ice cream. If you're craving chicken done the way it should be, then The Cookshack is where to visit in Ft. Worth!.
I recently had the pleasure of trying a crispy chicken sandwich that completely exceeded my expectations. The "medium" heat level was spot on! Alongside the sandwich, the specialty "dragon fries" were an absolute standout. And yessss, we ate the crispy tender salad! To round out the meal, I indulged in an ice cream sandwich for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending—just the right way to finish a great meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for an overall satisfying dining experience!
My husband has been here many times before because it's close to his job and has raved about it!! I had to try it. Customer service was wonderful. We were greeted warmly when we walked in. Everyone was wearing a mask and at the time only 2 other tables were occupied. The tables were properly distanced. My Shack Salad was amazing!! The grilled chicken was seasoned perfectly, the dates added just the right amount of sweetness to counteract the earthiness of the goat cheese and the champagne vinaigrette tied everything together. The salad was light, filling and refreshing and didn't leave me filling weighed down. The chicken tenders are well worth the price because they are humongous!! They were crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The fries were seasoned perfectly and were extra crispy. The margarita swirl tasted good. It had a nice sweet flavor!!
Food is fantastic. Great seasoning on the food and delicious fries. Great spot to also watch sports too but its not very busy to watch football.
Delicious ribs and chicken. Nice variety of seasoning offered. Chicken tenders, burger rib sandwiches and ribs very flavorful and reasonably prices. Waffles were delicious per our son. Alcohol available for those that choose. Sufficient parking given neighborhood. Definitely recommend.
Great food. Wonderful staff. Very accommodating. If it's your first time you can ask for a sample that ice cream sandwich is delicious
